Tennis World Number One Player, Novak Djokovic has been disqualified from the U.S Open after accidentally hitting a side line Judge in the throat with a ball.
Although the 17-time grand slam winner visibly apologised to the woman, he also took to his social media platforms to express his apology.
He wrote: “This whole situation has left me really sad and empty. I checked on the lines person and the tournament told me that thank God she is feeling ok. I‘m extremely sorry to have caused her such stress…”
Djokovic will lose all the points garnered during the competition and the prize money earned.
