Calm has returned to Abuloma town after Saturday’s exchange of gunshots which lasted over seven hours following the election of the Ijaw Youth Congress, Eastern Zone.
Residents of the community were in shock and locked inside their houses while the gun duel lasted.
Over 60 youths suspected to be cultists were also sighted in three buses and two Hilux trucks dressed in white Tshirts and black trousers parading several weapons including machetes, chanting slogans.
