Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to her colleague, Mercy Johnson, as well as her children and family, over past misunderstandings.
In a video shared on her Instagram account on Wednesday, Okorie began by thanking her fans for their support. “Hi everybody, this is your one and only Legit Queen. I just want to say a very big thank you to all my fans around the world. I mean, I don’t know what I might have done for you guys to show me this massive love. I’m not a perfect being. Yes, I am not,” she said.
Okorie explained that the message was specifically intended for Mercy Johnson and her family. “So this video is specifically for Mercy and her kids and her family,” she noted.
Reflecting on growing older and shifting priorities, Okorie admitted that past quarrels in the industry no longer align with her current perspective. “When you are getting older, a lot of things will be leaving you. While we were growing in the industry, some people would come and tell me that Mercy said, and some people would tell me that Angela said.
They have been issues, quarrels, chaos, logherheads, you know, and at this age, I don’t think this is what I want,” she said.
Addressing Mercy Johnson directly, Okorie offered her apology, stating, “I just want to apologise to you if it’s just my words, if it’s the words I have written anytime your name pops out on social media. I am deeply sorry
