The Rivers State Police Command has denied media reports that two persons lost their lives during a clash between the Hausa community and suspected cultists at the Port Harcourt Township yesterday.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, DSP. Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement confirmed the clash but, noted that nobody died.
She said normalcy has returned to the area and that investigation is on to unravel the cause of the incident.
She also said that Police officers have been stationed in the area to forestall further outbreak of law and order.
There were reports that two persons lost their lives during the clash between the groups yesterday.
Eyewitnesses say the incident caused panic in the area as residents and motorists scampered for safety.
