Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says nobody born of a woman can challenge him in his community because of what he has brought to them.
The governor, made this known during the flag-off ceremony for the construction of internal roads in Mgbuitanwo community in Emouha Local Government Area, on Monday.
He stated that politics is not about what one puts in his pocket, and that the essence of politics is what people benefit.
“The essence of politics is what will my people benefit. Politics is not about what you will put in your pocket. It is about our people, my people, not me,” he said.
“Today go to Rumuepirikom: nobody born of a woman can challenge me because of what I have brought to my people. I come from a community where nobody thought anything will come out from. But today I am governor,” he added.
He furthermore, explained that it is hard to believe that Mgbuitanwo community has produced a House of Representatives member, Senator and a friend of the governor for eight years, due to the State of their roads.
