The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, says it is aware of the draconian “No School Fees No Exam” plans by the Vice Chancellor and President, Student Union Government of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, against students of the institution.
Spokesperson of the organization, Solomon Lenu in a statement on Friday, said the duo are being watched keenly.
According to him, Kenpoly should inquire from the Rivers State University and the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, how it ended when they tried to implement similar policy.
He urged the management of the school, not to go ahead with the plan, as they would resist it.
His statement reads,
KenPoly VC & SUG President, we’ve heard about your draconian “No Schl Fees No Exam” plans against poor Rivers students.
Rivers Civil Society Organisations RIVCSO is aware of this, & we are watching you people keenly.
Ask RSU & IAUE how it ended when they tried it.
