The Rivers State Police Command says no life was lost in the gas explosion at Orazi in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
Spokesperson of the Police Command, Grace Koko who disclosed this in a statement said the incident was caused by a technician using a gas cylinder to repair a fridge.
“Yes I can confirm the incident. It was a technician repairing a Fridge carrying a gas cylinder to weld the fridge when it exploded.l,” she said.
Sources say about 20 persons including a pregnant woman and four children were injured and rushed to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
