The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured that by the end of President Bola Tinubu’s first tenure in 2027, no judge serving in the FCT will be residing in a rented apartment.
Wike in a statement today, said that President Tinubu is committed to improving the welfare and working conditions of judicial officers in the FCT, emphasizing that adequate housing is a key part of that plan.
He said the administration recognizes the crucial role of the judiciary in sustaining democracy and upholding the rule of law, hence the need to provide judges with befitting accommodation and conducive environments to perform their duties effectively.
