ALLEGED IMPOSITION OF FALSE CURFEW, UNFOUNDED.

The attention of Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to the rumour making the rounds in some electronic media, that the Commissioner of Police imposed a curfew in the State.

To keep the record straight, the CP at no time, imposed curfew in any part of the State as he has no powers to do so, and besides, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever for a curfew in the State.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday has therefore warned those peddling this rumour to desist forthwith as perpetrators will be made to face the wrath of the law.

He further advised members of the public to report any one trying to create or take undue advantage of the rumour to the Police authorities for necessary disciplinary action, please.

DSP GRACE IRIGE-KOKO,
POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER,
FOR: COMMISSIONER OF POLICE,
RIVERS STATE COMMAND,
PORT HARCOURT.
22/07/2022.
