The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) aims to complete its ongoing review of the Port Harcourt, Warri, and Kaduna refineries by the end of December 2025, according to the Group Chief Executive Officer, Bayo Ojulari.
Ojulari disclosed this in an interview with Bloomberg, published on Thursday, on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
He stated that the state-owned oil firm would make a decision on whether to sell the refineries after the review is concluded.
Ojulari explained that some of the technologies deployed to revamp the ageing plants have not delivered the expected results, citing the outdated nature of the facilities as a major challenge.
