The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has reaffirmed its commitment to restoring the operational capacity of the nation’s three major refineries — Warri, Port Harcourt, and Kaduna — as part of its ongoing energy sector transformation efforts.
In a statement titled “Update on Nigeria’s Refineries,” the company said it is making “measured progress” in the comprehensive technical and commercial review of the refineries.
According to NNPC Ltd, the review aligns with Nigeria’s National Energy Strategy and underscores the company’s focus on energy security, asset optimisation, and value-driven service delivery to the nation.
The company reiterated that the refinery rehabilitation project remains a cornerstone of its broader mandate to ensure sustainable energy supply for Nigeria’s present and future needs.
