Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., yesterday visited the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Plant in Bonny, praising the company’s pivotal role in advancing Nigeria’s energy transition, economic stability, and industrial growth.
During the visit, Ojulari reiterated NNPC Ltd.’s commitment as a shareholder to supporting NLNG’s long-term growth. He revealed plans to bolster gas infrastructure and explore emerging opportunities in clean energy innovation, describing these measures as crucial for positioning Nigeria’s energy sector competitively in a low-carbon, net-zero future.
Ojulari also highlighted the strategic significance of Train 7, noting its potential to increase Nigeria’s export capacity, create thousands of jobs, and enhance national resilience in the global energy market. He commended NLNG’s strong governance, adherence to sustainability principles, and robust asset integrity as benchmarks of operational excellence and sources of national pride.
