The Nigerian Labour Congress says it will embark on a nationwide protest on Wednesday.
The NLC in a statement today, said the protest by its members will hold across the 36 states of the country.
The statement noted that the protest is due to moves by the National Assembly, to remove the national minimum wage from the exclusive to the concurrent legislative list.
“The NEC decided that there will be a national protest action commencing from March 10, 2021, in the Federal Capital Territory and especially to the National Assembly,” it said.
The statement was jointly signed by Ayuba Wabba, President of the NLC and the acting General Secretary of the NLC, Ismail Bello.
