Chairperson of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubor has described as insensitive plans by the Federal Government to increase the price of petroleum products, despite unemployment, insecurity and inflation.
Itubor in a statement yesterday, said the Federal and State Governments are insensitive to the plights of Nigerians.
She said every right thinking Nigerian knows that there is hardship in the land.
She called on the FG to rescind its decision until things gets better in the country.
President of NLC, Ayuba Wabba on his part described the plan as “Penny wise pond foolish”, adding that they will resist the attempt.
He also rejected plans by the government to pay five thousand naira to poor Nigerians as palliative beginning from next year.
