The Police in Rivers State says it will ensure adequate security for the 2-day NLC protest in the state to ensure it is not hijacked by hoodlums.
The state commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu in a statement said officers have been directed to ensure the protest is not hijacked by criminal elements.
According to him, the command will do everything within its power to forestall an outbreak of lawlessness.
Meanwhile, the NLC President in the state, Mr. Agwangwa says the protest will go ahead as planned.
