The Nigeria Labour Congress has called for the immediate and unconditional release of its President – Joe Ajaero before midnight today.
Ajaero was arrested by the Department of State Security this morning on his way out of the country.
The union in a statement also demanded the immediate reversal of the hike in the price of petrol to N617/Litre.
It also summoned an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) by 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
