Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has said that the People’s Democratic Party, cannot afford to miss the opportunity that Nigerians are giving back to the party to takeover power in 2023.
Wike, who made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Bayelsa state, Douye Diri said everybody in the party must work together.
He said without unity, it would be difficult for the party to amicably nominate an acceptable presidential candidate.
He also said the party must capitalize on the crises brewing in the APC to build a more formidable party to wrestle power from them.
Wike, added that Nigerians are waiting anxiously for the PDP to rescue the country from the poor governance the APC led Federal Government has foisted on them.
He expressed optimism that the PDP, will defeat the APC in the 2023 presidential election, and deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
