A secondary school student of Greensprings School in Lagos, Miss Fareedah Oyolola has been recognized as one of the brightest students in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youths.
Executive Director of the Center, Virginia Roach, said she was recognized after her excellent performance in the advanced School and College Ability Test (SCAT) of the centre.
SCAT is a compulsory test every student seeking admission into its search programme must undergo in order for the institution to determine their current academic abilities.
Fareedah, who said she had to answer 100 questions within 44 minutes, stated that her score was in the 92nd percentile for verbal reasoning and 87th percentile for quantitative reasoning.
She commended her teachers for developing her mathematical reasoning skills and comprehension abilities.
