The Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER on Tuesday, February 11, 2024, discovered and deactivated an illegal refining site in the Isaka, Ogajama general area of Rivers State.
The Navy disclosed this in a statement over the weekend, revealing that the site contained five cooking tanks, four metal storage tanks, six reservoirs, and 15 dugout pits filled with an unspecified amount of illegally siphoned crude oil and illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
Reaffirming its commitment to combating illegal oil activities, the Navy warned those involved to desist or face the full weight of the law.
