A Nigerian-American, Osaremen Okolo has been appointed as COVID-19 policy advisor to President-Elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, December 30 2020.
Okolo who graduated from Harvard University with degrees in medicine in 2017, currently serves as a Senior Health Policy Advisor at the US House of Representatives.
She alongside 100 other person’s were announced as additional members of the White House staff by the Biden transition team.
Okolo who is born to both Nigerian parents, previous worked as a legislative aide for health policy at the United States Senate.
The President-Elect Joe Biden will be sworn-in on January 20, 2020. This is after he defeated incumbent President Donald Trump in last year’s election.
