The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Saturday offered free medical services to residents of the Rumuomasi community in Port Harcourt as part of events marking its 61st anniversary.
The outreach, offered a range of healthcare services including consultations, dental and eye examinations, laboratory tests, and the distribution of medications and reading glasses.
Speaking at the event, Wing Commander Bashir Adamu, who represented the Commander of the 115 Special Operations Group, Group Captain Adekunle Abdulateef, said the initiative underscores the Air Force’s commitment to community service and civil-military relations.
“This medical outreach symbolises our unwavering dedication to the people we serve,” Adamu said. “It reflects our effort to extend a healing touch beyond our bases and into our host communities.”
Beneficiaries of the programme praised the Air Force for the gesture. The medical outreach is one of several activities commemorating the NAF’s anniversary.
