The Lagos State Government has said that match tickets will not be sold for the football match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Liberia, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, this weekend.
The Lagos State Government in a statement on Sunday, said only few persons would be invited for the world cup qualifying encounter.
It said the decision not to allow fans into the stadium was due to the spike in covid-19 cases.
The confederation of African Football (CAF) had reportedly approved for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to have only 5,000 spectators at the stadium for the encounter.
