Rivers State recorded 18 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,078 with 6,914 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 120 new Cases. Enugu recorded the highest number with – 53, Lagos-22, Rivers-18, Ogun-8, FCT-7, Abia-6, Kano-5 and Bauchi-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 164,423 with 154,406 recovered patients, and 2,061 deaths.
The agency has advised Nigerians to continue to obey all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the vaccine.
