The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has launched a new digital platform for processing the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC), marking a major step in the agency’s ongoing reform agenda.
According to a statement from the Service, the new portal — https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng — will allow applicants to submit CERPAC applications entirely online, aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and user experience.
With the transition to the digital system, the use of physical CERPAC forms will be officially discontinued from August 1, 2025. The NIS has advised all applicants with paid but unsubmitted physical forms to complete and submit them by July 31, 2025, or risk forfeiting their application status and related payments.
Individuals and organisations assuming Immigration Responsibility for expatriates are also urged to ensure all outstanding applications are submitted before the deadline to avoid disruptions.
The Service warned that any unsubmitted CERPAC forms after the deadline will be deemed void and invalid. For further details, the public is encouraged to contact the NIS through the office of the Public Relations Officer.
