The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a hike in the cost of obtaining the Nigerian Standard Passport, effective September 1, 2025.
In a statement on Thursday, signed by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, the NIS said the revised fees apply only to passport applications made within Nigeria.
Under the new structure, a 32-page passport with five-year validity will cost ₦100,000, while a 64-page passport valid for ten years will be priced at ₦200,000.
The NIS emphasized that passport fees for Nigerians living abroad will remain unchanged, at $150 for the 32-page, five-year passport and $230 for the 64-page, ten-year passport.
