Nigeria’s D’Tigresses have booked a place in the semifinals of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket after a dominant 83-47 victory over Cameroon, marking their third consecutive win in the tournament.
With the win, the six-time champions also secured the fourth and final African slot in the qualifying tournaments for the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The result extends Nigeria’s unbeaten run in African competitions to 27 games since 2015 and keeps them on course for a record fifth consecutive continental title. So far, only Senegal has matched their current streak of four straight AfroBasket titles.
