Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has mourned the passing of prominent Ijaw leader, Pa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, praising his courage, truthfulness, and dedication to the Niger Delta’s common good.
Fubara, who received the news on Tuesday, honoured Clark’s memory during a visit to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where he commissioned the newly built Labour House by Governor Douye Diri’s administration.
Commending Governor Diri’s leadership, Fubara emphasized the importance of standing for integrity and maintaining a good name over material wealth. He also highlighted the harmonious relationship between Bayelsa and Rivers States, noting that past disputes have been amicably resolved.
The Labour House is intended to enhance government-labour relations, which Fubara acknowledged as crucial for maintaining industrial harmony.
