The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has named journalist and football commentator Erenayo Dorcas Koki as the new Media Officer of the U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos.
Koki, who works with NigeriaInfo FM in Port Harcourt, takes over from Monsurah Olatunji, who held the role during the 2024 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic. Olatunji had succeeded Faith Meremegbunam.
With years of experience covering local and international sporting events, Koki is known for her advocacy for women’s sports and engaging football analysis. She pledged to use her new role to increase visibility for the Flamingos, bronze medallists at the 2022 U17 World Cup.
“I will work with the NFF Communication department to amplify the voices of the players and coaches, and ensure the team’s journey is shared widely,” Koki said.
The Flamingos are scheduled to resume camp on Sunday ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, which runs from October 17 to November 8.
