The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students across the country to beware of a fake online portal spreading false information about the reopening of the student loan application process.
In a statement released on Monday, NELFUND said its attention had been drawn to a fraudulent message circulating on social media, which falsely claims that President Bola Tinubu has ordered the reopening of the student loan portal.
The agency described the message as deceptive and urged the public to rely only on official communication channels for updates regarding the student loan scheme.
