Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has called for urgent action against APC Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, following serious allegations of criminal conduct and abuse of power levelled by his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
According to Daniels, Senator Nwoko allegedly married her when she was only 17 years old, a minor under UK law, where Nwoko is a registered legal practitioner. Any sexual activity following that marriage, she claims, would constitute statutory rape under British law.
Daniels also alleges that Nwoko introduced her to hard drugs while she was underage and repeatedly forced himself upon her. Sowore emphasised that these are not mere moral failings but serious criminal offences that demand immediate investigation and prosecution.
“Senator Nwoko must not be allowed to continue parading as a lawyer in the United Kingdom while facing such damning allegations,” Sowore said. “The Law Society of England and Wales must be alerted, and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) must initiate disciplinary proceedings to determine his fitness to practise law.”
Sowore further warned against any attempts by Nwoko to use political influence, wealth, or law enforcement connections to suppress victims or pervert justice. “Impunity has an expiry date, and that date is now,” he stated.
