Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered ₦1.042 billion worth of illicit drugs at a newly opened hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The raid, conducted between April 25 and 26, led to the recovery of 589 bags of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, weighing 417.3kg. Three suspects — Eze Ayitu, Ofuokwu Samuel, and Emmanuel Ameh — were arrested, while two others remain at large. Several vehicles, electronics, and household items suspected to be proceeds of drug sales were also seized at the hotel, identified as The Hook Hotel, also known as Caesar Hotel and Lounge.
Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), commended the agency’s officers for their recent successes, praising their efforts in curbing drug supply and demand across the country.
