The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Rivers State Command, has reported the arrest of 39 suspected drug dealers, including three women, over a four-month period.
The agency also confirmed that it secured 12 convictions and confiscated about 14.83 kilograms of various drugs.
Commander of the NDLEA in Rivers State, Bature Dawa, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Dagogo Wokoma, at his Port Harcourt office on Tuesday.
Dawa stated that the operations took place between December 2025 and March 2026, adding that 16 new cases are currently under investigation.
He said, “About 39 suspected drug peddlers have been arrested, out of which 36 are male, and three are female.“We also seized about 14.83 kilograms of different kinds of drugs. Within this period, just last month, we were able to convict 12 drug peddlers, and 16 new cases were charged in court,” he said.
