FCT Minister – Nyesom Wike has charged representatives of Rivers State in the Niger Delta Commission, Hon. Boma Iyaye and Chief. Tony Okocha to use their positions to help Rivers State, and not themselves only.
Wike said this while speaking at the reception in honour of Hon Boma Iyaye and Chief Tony Okocha following their inauguration into the NEW NDDC Board Today.
He said, “Use your positions in the NDDC to help Rivers State , don’t think only of yourself.
“I don’t want to hear things like, Oga we cannot see Boma again ooo or Boma is no longer taking calls ooo; Tony is no longer taking phone calls ooo or replying text messages.
“We too that want to call them for assistance, let us not abuse the privilege… Give them time to settle down.
“You must also know that Boma as the EDFA can only pay for what has been approved ; you don’t expect him to pay for what hasn’t been approved just because you’re from Rivers State.
