The Director of Commercial and Industrial Development (CID) at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Barr. Lyna Okara, on Tuesday conducted an on-the-spot inspection of trainees at the commission’s ongoing skill acquisition centres in Port Harcourt.
The programme, part of the NDDC’s human capacity development drive, is equipping 300 youths from the Niger Delta with vocational skills, including scaffolding, forklift operations, sandblasting, and pipe fitting.
Trainees at the centres lauded the initiative, commending the NDDC management team led by Dr. Samuel Ogbuku for implementing programmes they said would enhance their livelihoods and create long-term economic opportunities.
