The Niger Delta Development Commission says it will now focus on completing capital projects that add value to the region.
MD/CEO of NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, made this known while speaking at the Niger Delta Stakeholders Pre-Summit Technical Session, in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
According to him, the commission is committed towards transforming the region, in accordance with the 8 point presidential priorities, and the demands of the NDDC Act of 2000.
He said, “We will focus on completing Capital Projects, only projects that add value to the Niger Delta Region will be approved. Our commitment is to working together towards transforming the region, in accordance with the 8 point presidential priorities, and the demands of the NDDC Act of 2000.
“We have no intention of clashing with or competing against State Governors in the Region. Instead, we aim to collaborate as Development partners to facilitate the rapid progress of the Niger Delta region.”
