The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has reiterated its dedication to promoting the welfare of children in the Niger Delta, with a renewed focus on social bonding and inclusion.
Speaking at an event marking International Children’s Day at the NDDC Event Centre in Port Harcourt, NDDC Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku—represented by the Commission’s Deputy Director of Education, Health, and Social Services, Mrs. Chioma Nwakwue—underscored the importance of human capital development alongside infrastructure projects.
“We at the NDDC are passionate about our children in the region and committed to putting smiles on their faces,” Nwakwue said. “Our children are the future of the Niger Delta, and this celebration reflects our commitment to their growth and well-being.”
The event formed part of broader efforts by the Commission to foster inclusion and support the holistic development of young people across the region.
