he Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) commemorated International Literacy Day with a sensitization rally in Port Harcourt, under the theme, “Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding and Peace.”
Addressing participants at the event, Mrs. Florence Ediagbonya, Deputy Director of Education, Health and Social Services, highlighted the crucial role of education and literacy in promoting peace, inclusion, and mutual understanding across the Niger Delta region.
Demonstrating its commitment to advancing literacy, the NDDC also announced a follow-up seminar scheduled for September 15, 2025, aimed at fostering further dialogue on literacy and multilingual education initiatives.
