A Talent Hunt programme to support youths in the entertainment industry and address unemployment in the Niger Delta region has been launched by the Niger Delta Development Commission.
The initiative tagged “Talent Hunt in Niger Delta” was launched Today by the interim Administrator of the commission, Dr. Efiong Akwa, at the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Today.
Akwa during the flag off said the initiative was designed to promote creativity among youths.
According to him, the industry is growing bigger everyday and many youths in the region are involved, adding that the initiative will help them achieve glory.
“The entertainment industry is growing bigger everyday and lots of youths in the Niger Delta are doing amazing stuffs in the Entertainment industry. This talent hunt will help them achieve glory,” he said.
The event had celebrated musicians Mr 2Kay and HarrySong in attendance.
