The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has convened a Stakeholders’ Engagement and Open Forum on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for key projects slated for Rivers State.

The session, held in Port Harcourt, brought together stakeholders to review the potential environmental, social, and economic impacts of the proposed developments.

The projects under consideration include the construction of a 4-kilometre Bonny Internal Road in Degema/Bonny Local Government Area (Lots 1 & 2), the Luebe–Agbani–Lueke Road in Khana Local Government Area (Lots 1–3), and a 6-kilometre Egelebia Road (Phase 2) in George-Ama, Okrika Local Government Area (Lots 1–3).

The NDDC said the forum was aimed at fostering inclusive participation and ensuring that the concerns of communities, experts, and other stakeholders are adequately addressed before the projects commence.
