The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has handed over media equipment to the Media Department of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in a ceremony held at the NYSC National Headquarters, Yakubu Gowon House, Maitama, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku—represented by the Director of the NDDC Liaison Office in Abuja, Mary Efekhoba Nwaeke—described the donation as a strategic investment in communication and national development.
She noted that the initiative underscores the Commission’s commitment to institutional support, capacity building, and collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening communication infrastructure.
Nwaeke further emphasized that the partnership between the NDDC and NYSC demonstrates how institutional synergy can drive meaningful development and foster national growth.
In his remarks, the Director-General of the NYSC, Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed—represented by the Director of Media, Emeka Mgbemena—described the donation as a significant boost to the Scheme’s broadcasting capacity.
He explained that the NYSC radio station, which has been operational for over four years, serves as a critical training platform for corps members, helping to build their skills in media and communication.
