The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has donated six waste disposal trucks to the Rivers State Government. This is to help improve the sanitary condition in the state.
The commission led by its Interim Administrator, Effiong Akwa presented the trucks to the state Governor, during a meeting with officials of the state Government and the Commission, yesterday.
The Governor who commended the commission for the gesture, said this is the first time his administration is getting support from the NDDC.
Wike condemned the posture of some ethnic groups in the region that behave as if they own the NDDC, stating that the Commission belongs to all states in the region.
He charged the Interim Management to always work with state Governor’s in the region on equal footing, so as to achieve success.
