The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has refuted circulating reports alleging a conflict between its Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike.
In a statement released on February 10, the Commission described the claims as false and the work of “mischief makers” seeking to create divisions within the organization. The NDDC emphasized that Dr. Ogbuku enjoys a cordial relationship with Chief Wike and other key stakeholders in the Niger Delta region.
It said the misleading report, which claims there is unrest in the Commission over a struggle for the Managing Director’s position, is baseless and aimed at causing confusion.
