Nigeria’s House of Representatives has asked over 30 of its members accused of getting contracts from the NDDC to appear before its Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
The Minister of Niger Delta, Senator Godswill Akpabio had in a letter sent to the Speaker of the House, accused the lawmakers of receiving contracts worth over a N100 billion.
The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila referred Akpabio’s letter to the ethics and privileges committee during plenary few days ago.
Akpabio had claimed that Some of the beneficiaries are from Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo, as well as members of an”unnamed Caucus in the House of Representatives.”
