The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commissioned four infrastructural projects in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State as part of efforts to boost development in the region.
The commissioned projects include a police station, a health centre, a recreation centre, and a 4.5-kilometre road network in Egbelebie community.
Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, who led the commissioning, said the projects reflect the Commission’s commitment to its core mandate of driving sustainable development across the Niger Delta.
Ebie emphasized that the Commission was working closely with stakeholders at all levels to deliver meaningful interventions. “We are an interventionist agency that collaborates with local, state, and federal governments to bring development to the people,” he said, adding that community support and partnership were crucial to the Commission’s success.
