PORT HARCOURT — The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has begun the placement and payment of 10,000 beneficiaries under its Youth Internship Scheme, aimed at providing one-year practical skills training in various organizations across the Niger Delta region.
The Commission confirmed that beneficiaries have been successfully selected and placed in different organizations, with monthly stipends already being disbursed. The selection process, which attracted over 3.2 million applicants, was described as transparent, diligent, and fair.
It said the overwhelming response underscores the immense potential and aspirations of the region’s youth, noting that it remains committed to ensuring the life-changing opportunity reaches the most deserving candidates.
The initiative is part of NDDC’s ongoing efforts to empower the region’s vibrant and resourceful youth population.
