President Buhari has sacked Mr. Effiong Okon Akwa as interim sole administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
This was contained in a memo issued by the Director of Press, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Patricia Deworitshe.
The sack takes effect from October 20th, 2022.
The president also directed that a new governing board of the NDDC be constituted in accordance with section 5(2) of the NDDC Act, 2000 should be constituted.
“The names of the nominees for the new management team and Governing Board are to be transmitted to the National Assembly for approval,” she said.
