The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), through its Department of Dispute and Conflict Resolution (DCR), has launched a three-day capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening peacebuilding efforts in the Niger Delta.
The workshop, which runs from September 15 to 17, 2025, in Port Harcourt, focuses on promoting lasting peace through the adoption of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
According to the organisers, the programme brings together stakeholders from across the Niger Delta to deepen understanding of non-violent approaches to conflict management and foster collaboration in addressing disputes.
The initiative is part of NDDC’s broader commitment to peace, development, and transformation in the region as it marks its 25th anniversary
