The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention says 39 cases of mpox have been confirmed across 33 states and the Federal Capital Territory in 2024.
Jide Idris – NCDC Director General, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, said no death has been recorded.
Meanwhile the Africa Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday declared a public health emergency over the growing Mpox outbreak on the continent.
