The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has instructed mobile network operators to compensate subscribers experiencing poor quality of service in areas where performance falls below approved standards.
In a statement released on Sunday, the commission’s Head of Public Affairs, Nnenna Ukoha, explained that the directive is intended to protect consumers from bearing the consequences of service failures caused by telecom providers.
She emphasized that users should not shoulder the impact of service disruptions when operators fail to meet the required service delivery benchmarks.
