The Nigerian Navy, Ship Pathfinder has intercepted and impounded a large wooden boat laden with a large amount of illegally refined PMS in Abonema Wharf, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The Navy in a statement said the Interception was made on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
It also said 2 illegal refining sites with dug out pits & refining ovens laden with an unspecified amount of stolen crude oil were discovered and deactivated at Igbematoro, Souther-Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State.
The statement warned oil thieves to desist from the illegal act as it is sabotaging the economy of the nation or face the full weight of the law when caught.
